How to make a Matrix style design

In this tutorial you will be learning how to make a Matrix style design similar to the movie with a few signature techniques. This is my first tutorial so bare with me.
Start by making a new image with the dimensions of your choice, I will be using a 500 by 170 pixel canvas for this tutorial. Once you've done that, use the Paint Bucket tool to fill your canvas with white. Then make your foreground color black and background color white.
Now to start the design process:
Go to Filter > Texture > Grain
Intensity = 100
Contrast = 100
Grain Type: Vertical
Once you've done that, you should have something like this:
Now time for colors. Set your foreground color to a bright green (#00FF30) or a color of your choice, make sure it's bright. Now make your background color black.
Now go to:
Filter > Artistic > Neon Glow
Glow Size = 5
Glow Brightness = 15
Glow color should be the color you chose for your foreground color. In my case I used bright green (#00FF30)
Once you've done that, you should have something like this:
Looks kinda shitty right? Now time for the final step to fix it up.
Now go to:
Filter > Stylise > Glowing Edges
Edge Width = 1
Edge Brightness = 25
Smoothness = 1
This should be your final product:
Now to make it really look like a sig we need some fancy text and a border. We will do the border first:
Select > All
Edit > Stroke
Width = 2 px Color should be something dark, grey is recommended (#454545)
Location = Inside
Blending Mode = Normal
Opacity = 100
Click ok, you should now have something like this:
Final Step: Text
One of my favorite fonts to use and the best to use on this kind of a sig is "Space Age" You can download it
here.
Now use your "Space Age" font and type the text of your choice into the sig. It's recommended you use a big text size. A size of 60 or 48 is best.
Now if you've managed to use the text correctly you should have this:
Time to spice up the text and make it look really hot ;D
Go to blending options with your text layer selected.
Go to "Gradient Overlay" and use the following settings:
The last color is doesn't have to be green, it should be what ever color you used for the Matrix design.
Now go to "Bevel and Emboss" and use the following settings:
Now go to "Stroke" and use the following settings:
Finally, go to "Outer Glow" and use the following settings:
Now we're finally done :D If you were able to follow all of these steps correctly you should have something like this:
