Project Title: Pharsalia

Delphine Monroe is thoroughly enjoying herself as a popular student at a prestigious private school - until her favorite teacher and long-time spiritual mentor is killed in a 'freak accident'. Abhorred by the authorities' lack of interest in what was most obviously a homicide case, she sets out to find the truth.

While searching for the answer, Delphine is pulled into another world, one held together by myth, magic, and philosophy. Unable to return home, she continues her quest, with the aid of a new band of friends. In searching for her teacher's murderer, she discovers a completely different side of her counselor's character - and she wasn't the only one leading a double life, either.

PHARSALIA FEATURES:
*Intriguing mystery-meets-fantasy plot
*A customized turn-based battle system
*Hundreds of enemies that you'll need strategy to defeat - no more mindless battles, or repeated pounding on the 'attack' button.
*Tons of sidequests and minigames
*Over 125 individual, illustrated weapons
...and more!

Minor delay...
Malware fried my hard drive.
I managed to transfer my project folder to my mummy's computer in an emergency rescue effort, but I'll still have to reinstall 2k3 and the RTP before I continue, as well as regroup my resources.
The only thing I really lost was the main script I was working on.
While this is unfortunate, it's certainly something I can redo, and luckily there were only a few scenes that I had written that weren't already part of a map.
I'll have to make sure I keep all of my resources, including documents like scripts and progress charts, together. A lesson learned the hard way, I suppose...

Finally! The project page for Pharsalia is up and running. Plot sketches / outlines are nearing completion; working in the sidequests with the plot is my main concern right now.
I've started work on the weapons; I've finished eight of what is currently planned to be a 132 weapon set. Just a few more to go...
The special attack system has been implemented in its basic form. I still need a name for it, and the code must be copied to all monster parties, but it is there in its fundamental form.
Work on several maps is completed, though I'm still not sure what the expected play time of the game will be.

This project looks pretty sweet overall. There's only one screenshot to judge from but it looks very well made. Your description seems thought out too, so I have faith in your project. Don't let me down!

Also, I think it's great that somebody is finally doing something with the project website that you get. Great work.

Nice on the website (I still need to get mine to work, since I suck at doing layouts without inspiration -_-). Anyways, looks interesting, though I myself would like to see more screens to get a better understanding of some of the stuff (like this "customized battle system").

Tragic. Sad

But you recovered after all, so I guess it's not that bad.
