Project Title: Jack in Surrealia

This is my contest entry.

It's a cell-based platformer, like Shades of Gray, but I'm using my own engine, and it'll contain some satisfactory ammounts of shooting.

So far it'll have a basic "just so you can't say there's none" storyline, and I'll probably stick to that.

Don't worry, the stage design will be worked all around this concept, so there won't be annoying parts, every single part will be transposible and satisfactory within the cell-based platforming.

So far I've coded through the main platforming engine (just the jumping, falling, collision, etc.) and I'll be adding the shooting and stuff later (thinking about three weapons, no ammo count and a lot of enemies whose heads you'll bust). Will also contain surrealistic graphics, I'm thinking about adapting Escher and stuff.

FUCK!!!

I just accidentally my intro. Since both the intro and the ending take place in the same room (but in two different RM maps) I ended up confusing the two maps and erased my intro :(

I finished the playable part. Now the only part left is the ending.

Gonna throw RMTool in as soon as everything else closes up.

In the end, the project was not as pompous as I originally aimed, but then again, time constraint, last day of contest. My entry is getting along, I'll upload it today.

Furthering it, approaching the end. Want to add some more maps and then stop.

Scrap the huge array of special weapons, I figured it'd be a pain in the ass to have to work with it.

My project's going forward now.

I had an okay idea for the GFX and the storyline. I still didn't implement the shooting, because first I want to get a good balance between feasible and satisfactory.
